Sand cast in certified AA-601 aluminum, sourced from local smelters
Heat treated T6 to removed porosity, and increase material hardness.
Aged grey finish that wears, just like the early race castings.
The covers are sold in raw finish, just like the covers of days gone by, they can be polished by you if you wish and they look amazing when this is done well!
All mounting holes, oil galleries, threads, and gasket faces CNC machined to exacting tolerances
CNC made bronze bushes, standard is fitted, with -20 thou supplied for those whose crank has been ground.
This cover uses all short timing case bolts.
1/8" NPT oil outlet to allow easy oil pressure switch/gauge installation
Oil transfer dowel flange to prevent loose dowels sinking into the cover and starving oil supply.
Extra material added around the timing bush to allow oil seal conversion without the need for any welding
Extra wall thickness to allow enough material to be removed for morgo rotary pumps to be used if you wish.
